Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and lead a planning support team in the daily production planning and scheduling activities.
  • Coordinate and aligned with the Asia planning team and IE to balance weekly build plans intake with production capacity.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive master loading schedule that meets customer demand while adhering to manufacturing capacity.
  • Ensure that critical or urgent orders are prioritized in the schedule to meet customer deadlines and minimize delays.
  • Regularly adjust daily schedules based on changes in demand, material availability, or unforeseen disruptions (e.g., machine downtime, supply chain issues).
  • Balance the workload across production lines or shifts to ensure that available capacity is used effectively while avoiding bottlenecks.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any potential WIP pile-ups to maintain a smooth production flow.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that raw materials and components are available on time to meet production schedules.
  • Quickly identify delays or production bottlenecks and take corrective action to bring schedules back on track.
  • Monitor the flow of Work in Progress (WIP) to ensure work orders are completed within the established Manufacturing Lead Time (MLT).
  • Collaborate with the Order Fulfillment team to streamline processes and ensure timely delivery.
  • Serve as a key liaison between production, procurement, quality control, process & product engineering, and logistics departments.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Support others tasking and production analysis reports that assigned by the departmental manager/HOD.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in production planning is required for this position.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task in high energy and fast paced-environment with critical and tight schedule.

PREFERRED:

  • Preferably with hands-on experience in SAP module in PP, Oracle and MES system.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing and production planning processes.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
