Job Description

Logistics Professional is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of import and export activities while maintaining compliance with legal trade regulations and company policies. This role involves planning and strategizing to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), verifying and reviewing documentation, and facilitating communication with internal and external teams. Additionally, the Logistics Professional plays a critical role in managing customs applications, escalating and resolving discrepancies, and supporting freight accrual, forecasting, and validation for shipments. They also contribute to compliance audits, cost-saving initiatives, and risk assessment activities, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the company’s logistics operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet Company indirect logistics goals and objectives.
  • Plan and execute strategize to meet KPI.
  • Provide expected work quality and productivity to assist and serve other department to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the Integrity wellness of HGST business activity
  • Comply and Assist Internal and External requirements in Legal Trade Compliance and Malaysian Authorities regulations.
  • Ensure the integrity of procedures been comply for import and export regulations.
  • Verify and review all application or documents that need external approval before submission.
  • Communicate with internal and external teams for import and export requirements.
  • Prepare all the application and documentation that related to Custom or any government organization that involved with company as requirements.
  • Submission on application to Custom or other organization.
  • Escalate, trigger and problem solving for any other matter or discrepancies.
  • Assist on freight accrual, forecast, and summarize, validation for inbound and outbound shipment.
  • Perform a good filing of documentation for all related documents as policy requirements.
  • Engaged with GTO, GTM and OTM team for all importation and exportation shipment, especially on controlled items.
  • Performing Import/Export and AEO audit and assessment
  • Involve and participate to provide an idea on project management and cost saving.
  • Participate RoHS, Safety Awareness, 6S activities.
  • Participate in related risk assessment activities e.g., BPM, HIRADC, ERA, RA, BIA, BCP

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Academic Qualification:

  • Bachelor in business administration, Finance, Marketing and Supply Chain Management

PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge / Trained in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, BCMS 22301 and RBA standards will be an added advantage.

SKILLS

  • Computer literate and hand on knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel, Words, Power Point
  • Good in written and spoken in Bahasa Melayu and English.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have sense of responsibility and able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Excellent Project Management skills; a strong communicator at all levels from Management to technical teams 'on the floor'.
  • Self-motivated and will have the ability to work equally well in a team environment as well as individually.
  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, company policy, government authorities and accepted safe work practices.
