Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, month-end closing, account reconciliations and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for management review. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage general ledger and month-end closing activities. 
  • Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation and other closing adjustments. 
  • Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliation and investigate outstanding items. 
  • Review accounting classifications, cut-off and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy. 
  • Support Finance operations including AP, expenses and payment-related accounting. 
  • Maintain proper accounting records, working papers and audit trail. 
  • Support external audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements. 
  • Identify accounting/reconciliation issues and follow through on resolution. 
  • Support improvement to accounting processes, internal controls and month-end closing procedures. 
  • Work closely with Treasury, Payment and Finance teams to ensure accurate and complete financial records.  

Job Requirements

 What we're looking for: 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.  
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant accounting experience with strong hands-on GL and month-end closing exposure.  
  • Strong experience in Balance Sheet reconciliation and financial statement preparation.  
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills.  
  • Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments is preferred.  
  • Experience with intercompany, bank/PSP/EMI/wallet reconciliations is an advantage.  
  • ACCA/CPA/CIMA/ICAEW or equivalent qualification/part-qualification is preferred.  
  • Able to work independently, investigate discrepancies and meet reporting deadlines.
