ServiceNow Developer
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our GBS Service Management team. This team is responsible for delivering robust workflow automation, digital process optimization, and enterprise service management solutions across the organization using the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality ServiceNow solutions that modernize operations and enhance service delivery across GBS and its internal customers.
What You Will Work On
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications, integrations, and automated workflows. Your responsibilities include:
Leading solution design and development by translating complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable ServiceNow applications and workflows.
Acting as a technical expert, guiding architectural decisions, enforcing platform best practices, and mentoring junior developers.
Developing and optimizing integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and Integration Hub.
Ensuring platform stability and quality through code reviews, testing, documentation, and adherence to governance and security standards.
Supporting ServiceNow Operations by ensuring platform performance, stability, compliance, and safe usage.
Driving continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities, improving user experience, and optimizing platform performance.
Performing all development activities in accordance with defined development standards and best practices.
Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders and proactively sharing knowledge within the team.
Qualifications You Have for This Role
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in the following ServiceNow modules:
Customer Service Management (CSM)
HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
Service Portfolio & Project Management (SPM)
Proficiency in:
JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, UI Builder
Integrations (REST, SOAP, OAuth, MID Server)
Strong understanding of ITSM processes and overall ServiceNow platform architecture.
Proven ability to collaborate with architects and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Experience converting business requirements into clear technical specifications.
Location
The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur office located at KL Sentral which is a strategic work location with convenience travelling by Monorail, Rapid Kelana Jaya Line, MRT and KTM services as well as easy to get to go by public transportation.
