Job Description

The Junior Graphic Designer will work closely with the Senior Designers and the broader Marketing team to create and deliver high-quality visual assets. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly creative and detail-oriented individual with a foundational portfolio to grow their skills in a fast-paced digital agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Production: Assist in the design and production of a wide range of marketing materials, including but not limited to:
  
• Digital Assets: Social media graphics (static and animated), website banners, email templates, digital advertisements.
• Print Collateral: Brochures, presentations, case studies, and event materials.
• Branding Support: Help develop and maintain brand identity elements such as logos, color palettes, and typography for various client projects.
• Creative Execution: Produce design drafts, prototypes, and final solutions based on creative briefs, ensuring all visuals are appealing, on-brand, and meet project objectives.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines for Xcalibur Digital and all client accounts, maintaining consistency across all channels.
• Collaboration and Feedback: Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews. Incorporate feedback from senior designers and internal teams efficiently and proactively.
• Asset Management: Organize, maintain, and update digital assets, templates, and design files (e.g., image libraries) for easy team access.
• Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest graphic design trends, tools, and techniques, sharing new ideas and inspiration with the team.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills & Tools

• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a foundational understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
• Software Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Familiarity with other design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva) is a plus.
• Design Fundamentals: Solid understanding of visual hierarchy, image editing, and preparing final files for both digital and print production.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly.
• Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Attitude: Eagerness to learn, proactive work ethic, and a positive, collaborative team spirit.

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in a graphic design role, internship, or equivalent freelance experience.
