Job Description

  • To assist in tax advisory to optimise the Company’s tax benefits in accordance with tax laws for YGT Group.
  • To assist in contract review to ensure compliance to local tax rules and optimizing the Company’s overall. tax position for YGT Group.
  • To assist in tax planning on internal reorganization, incorporate of company, financial model for investing in a business or entering in a contract, business expansion or exit business plan in other countries.
  • To prepare Corporate Tax Return, Service Tax Return, Withholding Tax Return, Goods and Services Tax Return of YGT Group, inclusive of tax submission monitoring to ensure it is completed within the stipulated timeline and in accordance with the tax laws and regulations.
  • Ensure proper Transfer Pricing Documentations are prepared in accordance with the Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
  • Monitoring the deadlines of tax payments to avoid penalties of late payment to be imposed by the Inland Revenue Board (“IRB”), Royal Malaysia Customs Department (“RMCD”) and Inland Revenue Authorities Singapore (“IRAS”).
  • Review and perform preliminary tax due diligence on potential deals to identify tax risks and opportunities (if any).
  • Manage ad-hoc tax-related matters.
  • Work with various internal stakeholders where applicable to foster a culture of delivery and excellence.
  • Liaise with external tax agent for applicable incentives such as Research & Development Tax Incentive in Singapore.
  • Able to work with external tax agents and advisor on tax audit cases/investigations (if any).

  • Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or ICAEW/ ACCA/ MICPA/ CA ANZ/ CPA qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in public accounting firms, preferable from Big 4 accounting firm or a large organization with an in-house tax function.
  • Sound knowledge of taxation in Malaysia especially on the tax legislation, tax administrations & practices, Regulations and Public Rulings.
  • Experience in International Taxation is an added advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia both verbally and written.
  • Proactive and able to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills in terms of tax advisory, tax planning, tax incentive preparation to ensure to complete within the stipulated timeline and in accordance with the tax laws and regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively across all levels of the organisation.
