Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our gold and jewelry retail team in Malaysia. You will be the face of our store, helping customers choose the perfect piece — from everyday 916 / 999 gold to fine jewelry — while delivering a trusted, premium shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk-in customers; provide warm, professional service.
• Advise customers on gold purity, jewelry designs, pricing and promotions.
• Process sales transactions accurately via POS / cash register.
• Achieve individual and store sales targets / KPIs.
• Maintain attractive product displays and store cleanliness.
• Handle, weigh and safeguard gold/jewelry stock with care (security SOP).
• Build customer relationships and follow up on repeat / VIP clients.
• Support stock counts, merchandising and basic inventory duties.
• Comply with company SOP, brand guidelines and Malaysian retail regulations.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Prior retail / sales experience preferred; jewelry or gold background is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English; [Mandarin / Tamil] is a plus depending on clientele.
• Pleasant personality, well-groomed, customer-focused.
• Basic numeracy and cash-handling accuracy.
• Willing to work retail shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of gold investment, 916/999 purity and jewelry craftsmanship.
• Multilingual ability to serve diverse Malaysian customers.
• Experience with loyalty / membership programs.
