Job Description

YUNHAI AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY SDN. BHD. is looking for a driven Sales Assistant to support the expansion of our automotive component business in Malaysia. Backed by our Group's more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, we have established long-term relationships with a strong portfolio of well-known automotive customers in China. Your role will be to leverage this established customer foundation, maintain and develop relationships with our existing China-based customers, identify their business opportunities and expansion needs in Malaysia, while continuously developing new customers and projects within the Malaysian automotive market.

Key responsibilities :

1. Leverage established customer foundation and maintain relationships with existing China-based customers.
2. Identify business opportunities and expansion needs in Malaysia for existing customers.
3. Develop new customers and projects within the Malaysian automotive market.
4. Engage in customer engagement, RFQs, quotations, and commercial negotiations.
5. Support new project development and project coordination.
6. Work closely with internal technical, quality and production teams.
7. Manage multiple customers, RFQs and projects simultaneously.
8. Travel for customer visits, meetings and business activities when required.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements :

1. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Automotive or a related field.
2. Preferably 2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Key Account Management or a related commercial role. Candidates with experience in the automotive manufacturing, Tier 1 or Tier 2 industry, RFQs, new project development or automotive programmes will be a strong advantage.
3. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
4. Able to understand customer requirements and coordinate effectively with Technical, Quality, Production and other cross-functional teams.
5. Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required, as this role involves regular business communication and relationship management with the Group’s existing customers and business contacts in China.
