Job Description

1. Lead and coach a team of Technologists to deliver Innovation and Renovation projects which including product, packaging and process development. Occasionally, execute high-complexity product or process development projects when required.
2. Drive and execute product development roadmaps that align with commercial goals and consumer insights, turning business objectives into clear team priorities.
3. Design and apply sensory evaluation methods, tailored to product type, project stage, and analyze sensory data to support data-driven decisions.
4. Drive and conduct market studies, analyze product and competitor landscapes, and translate consumer insights and needs into strategic inputs for product development.
5. Ensure Product Compliance by Design, meeting quality, food safety, regulatory, operational feasibility, internal and external requirements,
6. Develop, drive, and support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives OR Champion Programs across TPD pillars or with cross functional team, building capabilities from foundation to full capability.
7. Manage and respond to technical inquiries from business stakeholders by delivering clear technical guidance and pragmatic solutions that translate into strong business cases for strategic decision-making.
8. Ensure all Innovation & Renovation project files and TPD documentation systems are accurately maintained and updated in a timely manner.
9. Conduct skill matrix assessments and training needs analyses (TNA) for Technologists, develop andimplement targeted training programs, and ensure skill gaps are addressed to strengthen talent capability and performance.
10. Perform any other key tasks assigned by Manager & HOD for business purposes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food science, Food technology, Nutrition or a related field such as Coffee, Beverages or Dairy Industry
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development or other related disciplines
• Proven experience in food product development, preferably in the FMCG (Food and Beverages) category
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements & food safety standards
• Excellent presentation, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and time-management skills
• Computer literate with good command of both written and spoken English and Malay
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple project simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
• A valuable team player and able to work independently
• In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles
