Position Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of RESTful and gRPC services consumed by mobile and web clients
• End-to-end service ownership: from requirements through deployment and production health
• API contracts and versioning — ensuring consumers can depend on what you build
• Data modelling and schema design across relational and caching layers
  Integration with third-party services (payment gateways, notification platforms, logistics providers)
• Performance and reliability of the services you own: latency, error rates, and throughput under load
• Code review participation and contribution to backend engineering standards

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

• 4–7+ years of backend engineering experience with Go as your primary language
• Strong proficiency in Go with production-grade experience building and operating backend services
• Solid understanding of Go concurrency patterns: goroutines, channels, context propagation,and the failure modes that come with each
• Hands-on experience designing RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services at production scale
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) — schema design, query optimisation, and migrations under a live system
• Working knowledge of caching strategies and practical Redis experience
• Experience with message queuing or event-driven systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or equivalent)
• Practical experience with containerisation and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-managed services)
• Working knowledge of observability practices: structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting
