Job Description

 Position Responsibilities 

  • Planning and Strategy Developing and implementing logistics strategies, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution plans. Analyzing supply chain needs and identifying areas for improvement. 
  • Inventory Management Monitoring inventory levels, forecasting demand, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory control.  
  • Transportation Management Managing the movement of goods, including selecting carriers, negotiating rates, and scheduling shipments.  
  • Warehouse Management Overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage and handling of goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records.  
  • Order and Distribution Management Coordinating the delivery of products to customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective order management and distribution.  
  • Team Management Supervising and leading logistics and distribution staff, providing guidance and support. 
  • Budget Management Managing the budget for the logistics and distribution department, monitoring expenses, and ensuring cost-effective operations.  
  • Performance Management Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing performance data, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing mitigation strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution. 
  • Compliance Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.  
  • Relationship Management Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.  
  • Reporting Preparing and presenting reports on logistics and distribution performance to management. 

Job Requirements

 Qualification and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing Logistics and Distribution  
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as manager capacity with direct reports 
  • Able to communicate with suppliers in both English and Mandarin  
  • Preferably with experience in FMCG industry (Consumer goods manufacturing and distribution)
