Position Responsibilities

• End-to-end technical ownership of the mobile architecture across iOS and Android
• First technical review point for new product and feature requests — shaping what gets built and how before implementation begins
• Definition and evolution of mobile engineering standards, code quality practices, and shared patterns
• Mobile engineering health metrics: crash-free rate, release cadence, performance benchmarks, and technical debt posture
• Technical direction of the mobile codebase: architecture patterns, modularisation strategy, and shared library boundaries
• Cross-functional technical alignment with Product, Design, QA, Backend, and DevOps
• Mentoring of iOS and Android engineers — raising the technical bar across the team, not just within your own stack 

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

• 8–12+ years of mobile engineering experience, with meaningful time on production consumer applications
• Deep hands-on expertise in at least one native mobile stack (iOS/Swift or Android/Kotlin), with working knowledge of the other 
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns: Clean Architecture, modularisation, state management, and dependency injection 
• Proven ability to design and evolve large-scale mobile codebases that multiple engineers contribute to concurrently
• Strong experience with API integration patterns and shaping backend contracts from a mobile consumer's perspective
• Working knowledge of mobile performance and reliability: memory management, rendering performance, battery and network efficiency, and crash-free rate 
• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines, release tooling, and App Store / Play Store deployment processes 
• Exposure to cross-platform approaches (Flutter or React Native) and an informed opinion on where they fit
