Job Description

 Position Responsibilities

The Regional Manager, Brand IP (Licensing) oversees the commercialisation, protection, and governance of the brand’s intellectual property across regional markets, with a strong focus on licensing strategy and execution. This role manages licensing agreements, royalty structures, usage rights, and compliance, ensuring existing brand IP is activated in culturally relevant and commercially viable ways across products, partnerships, and market initiatives.

Strategic IP Licensing

  • Develop and execute regional IP licensing strategies that align with brand, commercial, and market-specific objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage licensing opportunities by leveraging existing brand IP in culturally relevant and locally resonant ways across different markets.
  • Lead licensing negotiations, including royalty structures, usage rights, territory scope, term length, and compliance requirements, ensuring commercial viability and brand protection.
  • Partner with legal, commercial, and regional teams to secure IP rights and manage licensing frameworks for products, partnerships, and market activations.
  • Ensure licensed IP usage adheres to agreed guidelines, cultural sensitivities, and brand standards while maximising revenue potential.
  • Apply prior licensing management experience to oversee licensee performance, monitor royalty reporting, and enforce contractual obligations across regions.

Trademarking Protection

  • Manage the registration, monitoring, and enforcement of trademarks, copyrights, and other brand assets.
  • Stay abreast of IP laws, trends, and enforcement strategies in local and international markets.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to manage IP disputes, infringements, and licensing agreements.

IP Custodian

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, studio, and product teams to ensure proper use of IP across all channels.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on IP guidelines and brand protection best practices.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of IP assets and monitor global markets for potential IP risks.

IP Collaboration

  • Identify opportunities for IP-driven brand extensions, partnerships, and commercialization.
  • Collaborate on co-branding, licensing, and partnership agreements to maximize the commercial potential of brand assets while maintaining brand integrity.

Job Requirements

 Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Comm, Graphic Design or equivalent
  • Min. 7-10 years in branding for FMCG, QSR, IP Licensing
  • Microsoft Office
