Position Responsibilities
1. Design Development & Documentation
• Develop and deliver comprehensive design documentation in a timely manner, including layout plans, 3D perspectives, detailed drawings, material selections, furniture, equipment, and technical specifications for new outlet openings, revamps, flagship or themed outlets, and ZUS Signature outlets.
• Prepare tender drawings for secured sites and develop hoarding visuals when required per project.
2. Cross-functional & External Coordination
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (Fit-Out, QS) and key stakeholders (Operations, Marketing, Brand), as well as external parties (Architects, Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers) to ensure design feasibility, accuracy, and buildability.
3. Site & Construction Support
• Provide active support during construction and fit-out phases by resolving design-related site issues, addressing discrepancies, and managing last-minute changes when necessary.
4. Design Standards, Compliance & Optimization
• Ensure all design deliverables comply with brand standards, operational requirements, site-specific conditions, and relevant local regulations (e.g., mall and authority guidelines).
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal design manuals, standard templates, and detail libraries to maintain consistency and efficiency across projects.
• Drive design optimization initiatives to improve cost-efficiency and constructability without compromising brand identity or design intent.
5. Quality Control of Submissions
• Review and ensure all drawings and documents meet required visual, technical, and formatting standards prior to issuance.
6. Documentation Support
• Maintain and organize up-to-date drawing sets, standard templates, and design guideline documents across all projects.
• Provide administrative support in managing departmental files, ensuring proper documentation control and accessibility.
7. Design Innovation & Stakeholder Liaison
• Proactively introduce and evaluate new materials, finishes, and design solutions to enhance aesthetics, functionality, and cost efficiency.
• Support coordination with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g., suppliers, contractors) on design-related matters, including sample sourcing and minor negotiations.
Qualification and Experience
• Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in retail / F&B / commercial interior design.
• Proven ability to produce full design documentation sets, from layout plans, 3D visuals, to technical and detailed drawings.
• Experience in design & build environments or fast-paced rollout projects is highly preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator, and rendering tools such as Enscape.
