Job Description

The Account Executive will manage the day-to-day financial operations for our F&B outlets. This includes ensuring accurate recording of daily sales, managing vendor payments, overseeing inventory costs, and preparing monthly financial reports to help management monitor the health of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & General Ledger

• Maintain full sets of accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss (P&L) statements for individual outlets and consolidated reports for the group.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.

Sales & Cash Management

• Verify daily sales reports from the Point of Sale (POS) system against bank deposits and e-wallet settlements (GrabPay, Foodpanda, etc.).
• Identify and investigate any cash shortages or discrepancies at the outlet level.
• Manage petty cash claims and ensure they align with company policy.

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

• Process payments for food suppliers, utilities, and landlords.
• Reconcile supplier statements and manage aging reports to ensure healthy cash flow.
• Ensure all invoices are properly matched with Purchase Orders (PO) and Delivery Orders (DO).

Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor Food Cost Variance by comparing theoretical usage against actual stock takes.
• Work closely with the kitchen/operations team to analyze high wastage or inventory shrinkage.
• Maintain the fixed asset register (kitchen equipment, renovations, furniture).

Compliance & Tax

• Prepare and submit relevant tax filings (e.g., SST/GST/VAT depending on your region).
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents for annual filings.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and internal financial SOPs.

Job Requirements

Education: Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (ACCA/CPA candidates preferred).

Experience: 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally within the F&B or Retail industry.

Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SQL, or SAP).
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Familiarity with POS system integration is a major plus.
