Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and dynamic Head of Investor Relations to lead our investor communications and engagement efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with current and prospective investors, enhancing the company's public image, and ensuring transparency in financial reporting. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, corporate communications, and investor sentiment to effectively represent the company to the investment community.
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Communication Strategy:
Develop and execute the company’s investor relations strategy to communicate financial performance, strategy, and market developments to institutional investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
Craft compelling messaging for quarterly earnings, annual reports, AGM/EGM, investor presentations, and other key communications.
Advise on the company’s positioning in the market, including through roadshows, conferences, and investor meetings.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and other key market participants to ensure an accurate understanding of the company’s performance and strategy.
Serve as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries, providing timely, transparent, and relevant information.
Market Intelligence:
Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and investor sentiment to advise the executive team on key investor concerns, potential risks, and opportunities.
Track and report on shareholder base, ownership changes, and sentiment shifts.
Earnings and Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and presentation of quarterly earnings calls and other financial updates.
Work closely with finance, accounting, and senior management to ensure accurate financial reporting and presentation to investors.
Corporate Governance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Bursa filings, corporate governance codes) related to investor relations.
Support the Board of Directors in maintaining a consistent and transparent communication flow with investors.
Crisis Communication:
Lead investor relations efforts during crises or major company events/corporate exercises, ensuring timely and effective communication with investors to manage risk and protect reputation.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead a high-performing investor relations team, fostering a collaborative and transparent environment.
Train and mentor junior team members to ensure growth and development within the function.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. An MBA or professional certifications (CFA, IR Certification, etc.) is a plus.
Experience:
At least 7-10 years of experience in investor relations, finance, or corporate communications, with a proven track record of managing investor relationships and corporate financial communications.
Experience working with senior leadership and advising on strategy and financial matters.
Have a strong network
Deep understanding of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and SEC regulations.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear and concise messaging.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence senior executives, investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial modeling, reporting tools, and presentation software (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
