Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

 

This role will join a team of IT professionals involved in the delivery and maintenance activities performed by the shared services team of and for the AXA Group.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • To be fully responsible for Backup platforms.
  • Installation, upgrades, maintenance of the platforms.
  • Production monitoring and resolution of technical incidents.
  • Backup monitoring and reporting in direct relation with Manage Services.
  • Analyze and prepare accurate documentation for production.
  • Incident, Problem and Change Management support, in an enterprise environment, providing 3rd level support.
  • Improvement and extension of operational system stability and performance.
  • Creation and improvement of operational guidelines, implementation guidelines and work instructions and necessary documentation.
  • Implementation of Standard Work Requests (based on AXA-Services standards, using ServiceNow).
  • Troubleshooting incidents in the scope of the technical areas.
  • Develop scripts for automation and batches, in close collaboration with development teams.
  • Creating scripts according to internal AXA standards and procedures.
  • Ability to support and monitor services on production servers.
  • Technical writing of the proper documentation according to internal regulations.


Your Profile

Requirements

 

Technical Skills:

  • Cloud knowledge: Security, Networking, AWS, Azure.
  • Commvault solutions.
  • IBM Spectrum Protect V8 or later expert.
  • NetApp skill will be appreciated.
  • CMX archiving tool knowledge is a plus.
  • Scripting skills and automation. (Korn shell is mandatory, power shell is a plus).
  • Strong general knowledge in IT and Datacenter infrastructure architectures.
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in a backup environment.
  • Knowledge in Windows / Linux / VMware.
  • Good reporting skills.
  • Ensure security is always a priority one: audit, vulnerabilities remediation, support patching.
  • Ensure service levels meet requirements. Propose and implement action plan when required.
  • Work with Project team to prepare project scope and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers).

 

 

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Autonomous, teamwork spirit and “self-organized working”, respectful of the process.
  • Curiosity, assertiveness, pro-active mindset.
  • Customer centric and result orientation.
  • Ability to work in dynamic, matrix-structured global organizations.
  • Upper intermediate level of written and spoken English is a must.
  • French/Dutch speaking would be appreciated.
  • Not a 9-5 mentality.
  • Respect other culture behaviors.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
  • Be able to effectively operate within set guidelines, policies, procedures, and able to execute instructions with minimal supervision.
