Your tasks
At Continental Tires we want to make analytical excellence an integral part of all processes that have impact on leveraging business value. In cooperation with our domain experts from the Business units we identify business problems which can be supported and solved by using methods from Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. Only with data insights we will be able to adapt to changes and mitigate risks in a constantly changing economy.
As Data Scientist you will work in a global team of experts delivering Data Science products and know-how to diverse areas all over the tire business. Our Data Science Hub in Portugal will be integral part of this team.
Responsibilities
- Be integral part of projects in an area of specialization like Sales, Marketing or Supply Chain Management.
- Work on our Sales and Marketing data to create forecasts, customer insights and connect the dots that others don’t see.
- Work with domain experts to understand their problems and solve them with data.
- Be a partner in connecting the necessary experts from business and IT to solve problems.
- Get involved into different tasks at once and involve yourself with our team to get the support you need.
- Support in shaping the processes and organization to leverage the business value Data Science can bring to our enterprise.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Economics.
- Minimum 1 years of IT or Industry working experience.
- Reliable team player with structured self-organized workstyle
- Profound expertise in programming Data Science use cases with a widespread programming language from the community (e.g., Python).
- Experience with Data extraction from diverse sources like common data bases, Streaming, APIs or SAP systems.
- Good knowledge of data managing and data engineering.
- Good experience in visualizing data.
- Good knowledge of methods from Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Statistics.
- Good knowledge of data intensive IT architectures.
- Very good communication skills.
- Experience in working in a multinational company is a plus.
- Good English language skills (written and spoken).
