Your tasks
Key Responsibilities:
Process Optimization:
- Analyze and improve hot preparation/ extrusion processes to achieve consistent quality and efficiency.
- Adjust machine parameters to optimize product specifications.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the extrusion process.
Troubleshooting:
- Investigate and resolve process-related issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement corrective actions for quality or operational challenges.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and product specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on extruded materials.
Data Analysis:
- Monitor process performance using statistical tools.
- Use data to recommend and implement process improvements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead projects focused on waste reduction, productivity enhancement, and cost savings.
- Collaborate on Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
- Coordinate with PI team for new product trials and process adjustments.
Training and Documentation:
- Train operators and technicians on new processes or procedures.
- Maintain thorough documentation of process changes, trials, and findings.
Your profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial).
- 3+ years of experience in extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment (experience in tire manufacturing is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using statistical tools and software (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
