Job Description

JOB SUMMARY 

Under general supervision, the QC Technician is responsible for ensuring that copier machines meet the required quality standards before delivery or installation. This role involves executing quality control procedures, troubleshooting machine issues, performing part replacements, and ensuring that all operations adhere to company SOPs, safety standards, and industry best practices.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Conduct quality control inspections of copier machines following standard operating procedures (SOP).
  2. Document and report inspection findings, machine performance, and quality issues to the QC Supervisor.
  3. Identify, escalate, and help resolve machine issues or production roadblocks.
  4. Communicate technical findings related to spare parts or machine performance during testing and evaluation.
  5. Dismantle, reassemble, and replace machine parts as required.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve print and scanning errors at the machine level.
  7. Operate machines during testing phases to verify proper functionality.
  8. Investigate equipment malfunctions and identify root causes.
  9. Assist with unloading incoming shipments and organizing inventory in the store, factory, or warehouse.
  10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and storage spaces.
  11. Manage tools and supplies, ensuring proper usage and accurate inventory records.
  12. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  13. Collaborate with operations and support teams to complete daily tasks efficiently.
  14. Train and support junior or newly hired technicians on quality control procedures and technical processes.
  15. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  16. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum SPM / vocational certificate or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a technical or QC role, preferably in the copier or office automation industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in the use and maintenance of basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot copier machines and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy equipment when necessary.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, safety guidelines, and company procedures.
