Job Description

As Sales Manager - Customer Growth at Foundingbird, your role is to work directly together with the Founder & CEO to be the main driver of sales and awareness of our services, # of customers & CLV.

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

  • Answer enquiries from potential clients who want to start a business in Malaysia and guide them through our incorporation process, pricing and other questions they may have.
  • Grow sales and lead generation for our products by identifying, analysing and addressing business opportunities for both new and existing client accounts.
  • Advise clients on the products and services that best suit them, even if it’s not a service we can provide and we have to refer them to competition
  • Be the face to the founders/ entrepreneur community of Foundingbird in Malaysia, inspiring interest, listening to founder’s needs and being a trusted source for support and assistance to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs.
  • Build an understanding of client needs and communicate those back to the team internally to improve product, customer experience and service.
  • Spearhead launches of new products/ services/ community events together with the CEO to drive leads into revenue.
  • Overall; have a keen eye for and executing on what could help grow # of customers & CLV.

Job Requirements

We’re looking for a person with the following qualities:

  • Ideally you have experience in sales within the professional services (cosec, banking, audit/ accounting/ tax, HR/ legal, Consulting, etc) sector OR been a key Business Developer in a local / regional startup OR have experience as founder in Malaysia.
  • Negotiation is your mother tongue, you close deals that meets, fulfils and exceeds clients’ needs.
  • You have a strong “go-getter” attitude and you are results-driven.
  • You are not shy. You are able to put yourself out there, reach out to people, pick up the phone.
  • Strong command of the English language. Command of other languages such as Bahasa or Chinese are a strong plus. Being able to communicate with different business communities within Malaysia is essential.
  • Degree? Irrelevant, as long as you have motivation for the role and show that you are willing to learn, study and improve your work. This role can be for fresh grads, if you’re willing to immerse yourself into the world of entrepreneurship, learn and serve business owners.

  • A competitive base salary in the range of RM3k- 4k based on experience + commission.

  • Possibility to work remotely or from home from time to time (but we’re not fully remote due to the nature of our business - being in office is generally expected)
