Happy Penguins Child Care Centre is looking for a caring, responsible and passionate Early Childhood Educator / Childcare Teacher to join the team. The role involves working with children from infancy to 4 years old, supporting their daily care, development, learning and emotional well-being in a safe, warm and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for infants and young children.
• Plan and conduct age-appropriate learning and play activities.
• Support children’s physical, cognitive, language, social and emotional development.
• Assist with daily routines such as meals, hygiene, diapering and rest time where required.
• Observe and understand each child’s individual needs, interests and development.
• Create a safe, clean, comfortable and stimulating environment.
• Prepare learning materials and classroom activities.
• Work closely with other teachers and team members to provide consistent care.
• Participate in school events, celebrations, activities and outings.
• Follow the centre’s health, safety, hygiene and operational procedures.
• Maintain a positive, respectful and professional relationship with children, parents and colleagues.

Job Requirements

• Passionate about working with babies, toddlers and young children.
• Caring, patient, responsible and attentive.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Creative and enthusiastic when planning activities for young children.
• Early Childhood Education qualification is an advantage.
• Previous childcare or infant care experience is an advantage.
