Job Description

Teach both Chemistry and Biology courses at Foundation level.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, laboratory activities, and learning activities aligned with programme learning outcomes.

Conduct lectures, tutorials, and practical/laboratory sessions using appropriate and engaging teaching and learning strategies.

Develop and deliver laboratory and practical activities that support students’ understanding of Chemistry and Biology concepts.

Ensure practical and laboratory activities are conducted safely and effectively in accordance with relevant procedures.

Teach selected common/core courses as assigned by the department.

Assess and evaluate students’ academic performance, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.

Support students’ academic development through consultation hours and academic advising when required.

Job Requirements

Participate in curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement of Chemistry and Biology courses.

Contribute to the development and review of laboratory activities, practical assessments, teaching materials, and other academic resources.

Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance processes, academic policies, and accreditation requirements.

Contribute to moderation, examination setting, marking, and other related academic duties.

Participate in course and programme review activities as required.

Engage in scholarly, professional, or teaching-related development activities relevant to the role.
