Formerly known as HELP Institute and HELP University College, HELP University is a distinguished private university situated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Established on April 1, 1986, by its Chancellor, Datuk Dr Paul Chan Tuck Hoong, and his spouse, Datin Chan-Low Kam Yoke, HELP has garnered recognition both nationally and internationally for its commitment to excellence in education.
Recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, HELP Institute attained University College status in 2004, followed by full university status in 2011.
The acronym “HELP” stands for Higher Education Learning Philosophy.
In its initial years, HELP Institute made history as the first institution outside the United Kingdom to offer the University of London External Programme’s Diploma in Economics.
Over time, HELP University pioneered twinning programmes, allowing students to complete portions of their studies domestically before transferring to partner universities abroad for degree completion.
With a robust network of partnerships spanning the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, and Europe, HELP University provides students with diverse opportunities for global academic enrichment.
