Duties & Responsibilities
1. Conduct site walks and conduct / lead / attend contractors tool box talks to ensure full compliance on Operations Safety practices on site
2. Participate actively in Goal Zero (GZ), Turun Padang (TP) and other site assurance walks, compile and highlight findings and track completion of action items arising
3. Monitor, conduct health checks and finding analysis on Goal Zero and Turun Padang walks on a monthly and quarterly basis
4. Develop/update site Operations Safety & IH procedures with inputs from industry best practices, learning from incidents or new update from legal requirement or guidelines, and ensuring it is current.
5. Drive communication and implementation of any new/revised Operations Safety & IH procedure ensuring effective and sustainable implementation in the field
6. Support Operations Safety presence in daily Operations (PU1/PU2) morning meetings, Weekly Contractor HSE meetings & Monthly Tier 2 HSE Centric Meetings in highlighting safety concerns and updated on daily Operations Safety & IH matters / concerns.
7. Conduct and support site HSSE campaigns, recognition events, celebration and promotional activities including various stakeholders (staff and contractors) to foster strong partnership in continuous improvement of strong safety culture.
8. Support and involve in site wide Incident Investigation and Causal Learning exercises as and when necessary
9. Participate as a training support and coordinator on all Operations Safety & IH related internal and external training – Permit To Work, Working at Height, AESP & AGTES, HSE mandatory trainings for Operation personnel, and others
10. Support / assist in monthly HSSE Site Steering Committee Meeting & Quarterly PPE committee meeting Minutes updates, preparation, and meeting presentation pack finalization / compilation
11. Participate in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)/ Risk Assessment review for critical activities to ensure good quality of risk management.
12. Follow through and drive Contractors Verification of Competency (VOC) for HRC Plant Operations / Run and Maintain contractors
13. Supports on Industrial Hygiene matters on site such in Chemical Management, Labeling, SDS and labelling requirement and others in compliance with USSECHH and CLASS regulations
14. Assist Operations Safety Section Head as PTW Process Owner in updating PTW Dashboard, compiling PTW Audits and Health Checks
15. Lead, evaluate and monitor monthly Excellent Housekeeping Award and updating recipients in Monthly HSSE Site Steering Committee Meeting
16. Involve in legal assurance and L1 site audits – DOSH audits on Equipment CF, site verification on legal compliance. Eg : CIMAH, Confine Space Audits, USECHH, Noise, CLASS, etc
17. Submit NMPI actively.
Support QHSSE department and extend assistance to other sections on a department wide related to programs and initiatives


Job Requirements

Job Requirements

1) Degree in HSSE/Engineering/ Science and; Minimum of 5 years working experience in Safety / HSSE Operations
Or Diploma in HSSE/Engineering/ Science and more than 3 years working experience in Safety / HSSE operations
2) Demonstrate strong HSSE leadership attributes
3) Computer literate: words, excel, power point, emails etc
4) Experience in a manufacturing environment, esp. in operations would be an advantage
5) Excellent command of English (written & spoken) is essential
6) Registered Safety and health officer (SHO) and minimum of 5 years working experience in Safety / HSSE Operations in Oil & Gas live plant/ project Or Registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) and more than 5 years working experience in Safety / HSSE Operations in live plant/project.
