Job Description

  • The candidate shall assist the Head of Store Development (HOD) in planning and sourcing for potential sites for setting up of new stores. 
  • Conduct comprehensive site and financial feasibility assessments to ensure payback period is within Company’s acceptable period 
  • Collaborating closely with Project, Merchandise and Operations team on successful delivery of store, including development of new store concept
  • Monitor new store performance to ensure sales target is achieved; work with related stakeholders on improvement plan to achieve new store sales target.
  • Monitor lease expirations proactively liaise with Landlord for renewals, extensions, rental reduction and negotiate leasing terms and conditions.
  • Prepare, update and maintain all leasing documentation and tenancy records promptly.
  • Attend to matters related to tenancy management, issuance of letter of intent, tenancy agreement, renewal, approval and store operational issues.
  • To work closely with Legal & General Affairs and solicitors on issues with regards to tenancy agreements and legal documents
  • To work closely with Finance department on payment of rentals, deposits and outstanding payment to Landlord.
  • To monitor and ensure all termination process is met as per the Standard of Procedure, and ensure all deposits are refunded fully.
  • Coordination with agents on market info, briefing and regular updates on leasing portfolio and coordination with agents on market info, briefing and regular updates on leasing portfolio
  • To plan, establish and maintain good landlord-tenant relationships.
  • Prepare weekly or monthly leasing and store development related reports to Management.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by HOD from time to time

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Property Management or related disciplines. 
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience with reputable retail company.
  • Familiar with the site expansion / negotiation process / tenancy agreements / documentation.
  • Possess good interpersonal, negotiation skills, and a good team player
  • Able to travel outstation when required.
  • Possess own transport with a valid driver’s license
