Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the configuration and maintenance of network hardware and software, including switches and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for reporting/reference purposes.
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve network-related issues in a timely manner.
- Perform the traffic enforcement camera network configuration particularly Jenoptik Robot, Redflex and EKIN.
- Prepare, configure, install, test and commission LTE network from enforcement camera to appointed data center and disaster recovery center. Perform network migration as and when required.
- Ensure network availability according to the committed customer’s SLA.
- Conduct proof-of-concept as and when required. Advise and prepare report on the reliability of the tested hardware.
- Provide technical expertise in any exercise required by the project i.e. Security Posture Assessment (SPA) or Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds) is a plus.
- Exposure to network security principles and practices. Knowledge in traffic enforcement camera is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- CompTIA Network+
- Other relevant networking certifications
