Job Description
Job Overview:
As a Technical Engineer, you will lead and support the delivery of software solutions on IBM Z platforms. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Technical Consultant, and Principle Technical team to ensure successful deployment and the completion of tasks outlined in the Statement of Work. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Technical Consultant to prepare the Scope of Work and estimate the required time and effort.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of mainframe software solutions, including planning, development, testing, and deployment
- Manage software upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal disruption to business operations
- System Modification Program Extended (SMP/E) is the basic skill required
- Software installation and customization based on the product documentation
- Working closely with Client’s System Programmer, Security Admin, DBA, and Application team
Job Requirements
Requirement:
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- Experienced in zOS System Programmer Role or Application on z/OS Architect Role
- Proficiency in Job Control Language (JCL)
- At least 3 years experienced in System Modification Program Extended (SMP/E)
- Technical Qualifications/Certification in IBM subsystem such as CICS, Db2, MQ will be added advantage
- Knowledge in zOS tools from IBM, CA, BMC, and Compuware will be added advantage
- Good presentation and writing skills
- Able to keep good rapport with clients
- Willing to perform research, self-study, and work independently
- Willing and eager to learn and explore new things and technology
- Willing to learn and with basic knowledge in sales cycle process
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Preferably executive specialized in Engineering/Technical/IT or equivalent
- Good to have technical qualifications/certification such as CCNA, MCSE, ITIL, etc.
- Required language(s): English, Thai
