About the role

 

 

The primary role of Production Supervisor (Process) is to oversee the whole spectrum of production operation in processing plant to ensure compliance to the requirement in food quality, food safety, and EHS (environment, health, and safety).

 

The Production Supervisor must have a good technical knowledge in operating processing plant, understanding the production planning, analyzing the in-process quality, maintaining good practice of HSE, GMP, and management system requirement within the plants.  The Production Supervisor should also have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a matrix organization.

 

The Production Supervisor (Process) will be working in shift rotation. They are responsible to support the goals and programs established by the management team to continually improve and developing good operations systems. They should possess ability to make decision in timely manner, able to express their ideas effectively in both individual and group situations, able to manage people under their supervision, and able to adapt to the changes in daily planning. They also should have a thorough understanding of the plant operation and exhibits an attitude that maintains a motivating work condition.

Key responsibilities

 

 

 

  • Will be reporting to Production Executive in-shift.
  • Ensure all quality and safety measures are in place in daily operations of plants.
  • Undertake lead role during their shift to achieve production output as per plan, quality of products is within specification, and overall plant run smoothly.
  • Responsible for in-process quality monitoring during shift.
  • Responsible for reporting and recording production data, partial in the SAP during shift.
  • Assist in the planning of manpower for production/overtime and security of site.
  • Assist in raw material receipt and unloading into tanks and warehouse.
  • Oversee the processing section in order that all target/plan schedules are met.
  • Assist/work together with maintenance department for PM / CM.
  • Ensure all work procedures are implemented and complied.
  • Responsible for HSE and GMP matters
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Contribute to the maintaining and continuous improvement of the management system such as ISO45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSCC 22000, Halal and etc.
  • To monitor daily utilities consumption by shift and update in tier 1 meeting and 1KPS board
  • Strong knowledge in system troubleshooting. 
  • Attend daily morning meeting and change over meeting every end of the shift. 
  • Monitoring attendance and tardiness and time off
  • Training new and current team member on task. 

 

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in oleo chemical/chemical process industry. 
  • Experience in managing a group of people. 
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, SAP)
  • Experienced in ISO 9001, FSSC 22000. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GMP and HACCP systems is added advantage
