Job Description

• Ensure the implementation of approved SOP’s within the budget of resources allocated for the DC operations of the assigned Business Unit. 
• Measure and monitor daily operational KPI’s (e.g. productivity, picking/put away accuracy) and take corrective measures for variances vs. agreed standards
• Plan for the required resources (personnel and MHE) needed to achieve operational KPI’s.  Ensure that any shortfall in resources are addressed or mitigated and if needed elevate the issues to the Manager Operations of the Account.

• Ensure that the highest level of Health & Safety is maintained and to ensure that any deviations from these published standards are reported promptly to the Senior Manager- Operations of the DC or the Manager- Operations of the Account.
• Ensure that all ATOs receive half yearly & annual reviews in relation to their work performance.
• Enforce company HR policies (e.g. attendance, uniforms, PPE, timekeeping,)
• Coach subordinates on important aspects of work performance, and where appropriate recommends development plans promotion or further improvement in areas of poor performance.
• Ensure a clean, safe and hazard free work environment in all areas of the business. 

• Provide inputs to the Manager-Operations of the Account on cost efficiency projects or work environment projects and assist in the implementation thereof.

1. To make timely decisions on operational matters in direct coordination with the customers of the Principal/client or with the Principals/clients representatives.
2. To manage a 24 hour per day, 7 days a week operation.   
3. To work with other OPC heads to optimise processes and achieve daily KPI targets (i.e.) TMS for truck availability and load plan, VAS for multi-packing requirements

Job Requirements

• Preferably a Degree holder in Supply Chain/Logistics or other discipline 
• Those with a Diploma or College undergraduate must have 2 years relevant work experience for consideration.
• Those with SPM must have minimum 5 years relevant experience for consideration.
