Job Description

The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization and driving process improvements. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Liaising with external parties, such as auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions, to fulfil reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Perform and ad-hoc assignments as required by the Management

Job Requirements

  • Minimum a diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MySQL) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements
  • Good with communication, able to work in a team setting
