Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

As a software developer, you will be part of a team responsible for the development of an e-commerce web application. While primary development will be focused on the front-end frameworks and API integration, occasional tasks will involve development of restful API or backend functionalities. Immediate goal is to handle the existing development works and to delivery based on platform roadmap with expected good quality and according to the best practices, architectural design and security guidelines.

What are you accountable for?

• Join all Scrum activities - grooming, planning, daily stand up, sprint review
• Participate in solution phase and assess efforts required to have functionality developed.
• Develop front-end modules and functionalities as required by business within estimated sprints.
• Perform peer review of technical design developed by application vendors / owners
• Review test plans / test cases developed by testing teams or application vendors
• Manage end-to-end application ownership & delivery with the respective application vendors / internal teams.
• Manage and work with Infrastructure team for  Application Deployment
• Work with Operation support team for issues escalation

What do you need to have for the role?

• Bachelor degree specialised in Computer Science or related qualification.
• Total relevant work experience of 2 to 4 years.
• Open to Fresh Graduates.
• Candidate with programming experience in HTML/CSS/Javascript.
• Able to follow the Programming Best Practices for Web Applications and Web Services and able to develop according to the security guidelines such as OWASP.
• Highly proficient in:
  o    Web Technologies : HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Typescript, RESTFUL API (NODEJS)
  o    Web Frameworks : React / Angular
  o    Database : MYSQL
• Be self-motivated, responsible, dependable and enthusiastic team player.
• Aggressive, multi-tasking and able to work independently to meet tight datelines.
• Team player, comfortable working across teams and interacting with various departments.
• Good communications, problem solving skills and able to work under pressure and independently.
