Job Description

Your Impact:

As our Corporate Finance Assistant Manager, you'll be a key player in driving our financial strategy and supporting critical business decisions. You'll:

  • Shape Strategic Investments: Craft compelling business cases and investment proposals for new projects, directly influencing our expansion and market presence.
  • Develop Robust Financial Models: Design sophisticated financial models to assess project feasibility and returns, providing critical insights for management and securing financing from leading financial institutions.
  • Elevate Financial Performance: Lead monthly Group FP&A, providing insightful analysis to enhance departmental financial performance and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Ensure Financial Integrity: Oversee consolidated financial accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance with MFRS and listing requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting.
  • Drive Operational Efficiency: Analyze cross-company activities to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices, enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Inform Strategic Decisions: Conduct in-depth financial analyses and evaluations, providing clear and actionable recommendations to management and business units.
  • Maximize Investment Returns: Evaluate new investment and business opportunities through sophisticated valuation models, balancing risk and return to drive profitability.
  • Optimize Cash Management: Analyze daily cash positions and recommend optimal investment strategies to maximize returns on available funds.
  • Communicate Financial Insights: Translate complex financial data into clear, concise presentations, effectively supporting business operations and strategic planning.
  • Lead Ad-Hoc Projects: Conduct comprehensive analyses, research, and reporting for senior management, providing critical support for key initiatives.

Job Requirements

 What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, or a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and listing requirements. Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with accounting software.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, independent, and detail-oriented approach.
