Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of backend instruments like Node js, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who are keen to take on challenges and are passionate about developing new and amazing applications. Knowledge on GoLang, Rust and Ruby would be an added advantage. You’ll be part of an upcoming team and would play a crucial role in building and enhancing our workflow; co-designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines. Sufficient knowledge on infrastructure as code such as using Terraform and the AWS CDK is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help design and implement the backend servers for web apps, including the infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance the CI/CD pipeline
• Collaborate with designers, frontend developers, and stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using TypeScript, GoLang.
• Work with modern frameworks Next js or Nuxt.
• Optimise application servers and databases for performance and scalability.
• Debug and resolve backend issues effectively.

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Preferably 2+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Hands-on experience designing and building production systems with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Event Sourcing concepts.
• Proficiency in Node js and TypeScript.
• Sufficient knowledge on HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with frameworks like Next js and Nuxt.
• Experience with Github Actions.
• Strong Docker and cloud infrastructure experience is a must.
• Experience with infrastructure as code like Terraform and AWS CDK. 
• Good understanding of relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server)
• Some knowledge of AI workings and their application in modern web technologies.
