Pinkcollar is a social enterprise and professional recruitment agency for migrant domestic workers with ethical hiring and sourcing practices. You may know domestic workers by their more colloquial terms, as ‘domestic helpers’ or ‘maids’. Yes, you read this right! We source, recruit and facilitate the safe and debt-free migration of our bibiks, kakaks, ates and aunties into Malaysia, ensuring their entry into safe and dignified jobs and working conditions.&nbsp;
 Pinkcollar was founded to tackle the systemic exploitation of migrant domestic workers in Malaysia where human trafficking, workplace abuses, and contract breaches are still common occurrences. Our aim is to elevate both the professional and humane standards of the migrant recruitment sector to benefit migrant workers and their Malaysian employers alike.

The Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS) (based in Washington DC) has partnered with a corporate foundation based in the US to <a href="https://www.gfems.org/news_articles/the-global-fund-to-end-modern-slavery-announces-new-program-to-support-migrant-workers-in-malaysia-indonesia/" target="_self">commit $1.2 million commitment for a programme </a>that will empower migrant workers with tools and knowledge to migrate safely and engage businesses to promote ethical recruitment and fair labor practices.&nbsp;
Pinkcollar is a sub-recipient under this commitment!
Under this program too, GFEMS will partner with <a href="https://dawning.org/" target="_self">DAWNING</a> to conduct a longitudinal study and compelling multimedia report on the programme. DAWNING is looking for a Fieldwork Logistics Manager (FLM) to join its research team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will join a longitudinal, multimedia, mixed-methods study to illuminate the conditions under which current initiatives to reduce the prevalence of forced labor among migrant workers in Malaysia can have the desired impact.
Commitment
--The FLM will work remotely approximately 8 hours per week from June 15 to September 1 2022; two full weeks of fieldwork in Kuala Lumpur with the DAWNING team in September 2022; and approximately 4 hours a month from October 2022 to May 2023.
Compensation
For this project, the successful candidate will become part of a multidisciplinary team of world-class professionals. The offer ranges from US$ 25-35/hour (negotiable depending on skills and experience). During fieldwork in October, expenses (transport/meals/accommodation) will be covered.
