Job Description

Prima Avenue, a growing real estate and community hub in Cyberjaya, is offering a hands-on Mechanical and Electrical Engineering internship for undergraduates to work with property and facilities teams on M&E systems, smart-building technology, sustainability and operational improvement projects.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the monitoring and coordination of building M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services.
• Participate in site inspections, preventive maintenance planning, technical assessments, contractor coordination, and engineering documentation.
• Support initiatives that improve equipment reliability, maintenance performance, energy use, and operational efficiency.
• Analyse engineering and operational data to identify trends, equipment issues, maintenance opportunities, and energy-saving measures.
• Gain exposure to Building Management Systems (BMS), IoT sensors, energy-monitoring tools, and smart-building technologies.
• Support dashboards, reports, and digital records for M&E performance, asset management, maintenance, energy consumption, and ESG tracking.
• Help develop practical workflow improvements using Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, or other digital platforms.
• Work with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to understand site challenges and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Contribute to sustainability, resource-optimisation, and community-focused ESG initiatives in Cyberjaya.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Interest in building services, facilities management, HVAC, electrical systems, energy management, smart buildings, or sustainability.
• Curious, hands-on approach and willingness to learn from site-based work.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with different teams.
• Confidence to take initiative, ask questions, and suggest practical improvements.

Advantage (not required):

• Experience with BMS, IoT, energy monitoring, Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, AutoCAD, or maintenance systems.

Internship Location: Prima Avenue, Cyberjaya, Selangor.
