A tier 2 Analyst is responsible for analyzing and investigating security incidents escalated by Tier 1 Analysts to determine the root cause, scope, and impact of the event and if the event needs to be declared an incident. They work closely with other members of the GSOC, SIRT, and cross-functional teams to contain and remediate events and incidents to prevent further damage.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</div><div><div><ul><li>Analyze and investigate security events escalated by Tier 1 Analysts to determine the root cause, scope, and impact of the incident.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify and recommend remediation measures to contain and mitigate events and incidents to prevent further damage.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Document security events and incidents and provide clear and concise reports to management and stakeholders.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Collaborate with other members of the GSOC team, SIRT, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of security events and incidents.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Provide second-level support for security-related issues.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Participate in threat exercises and cyber drills to maintain and improve the incident response capabilities of GSOC.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Mentor and train Tier 1 Analysts on event/ incident analysis and investigation techniques, best practices, and tools.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Escalate security incidents to higher-level analysts or SIRT, as necessary.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Conduct regular reviews of security logs, alerts, and reports to identify potential security threats.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div>Requirements:&nbsp;</div><div><ul><li>At least 3 years of experience in the cybersecurity field, preferably in a SOC.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Effective time management.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to work shift schedule.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Holistic and Analytical Thinking.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Knowledge of Security Solutions and how they are used by SOC.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to correctly implement SOC processes and procedures.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Knowledge of security frameworks and standards.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience in mentoring and training junior analysts is a plus.&nbsp;</li></ul></div></div>&nbsp; Prudential is an equal opportunity employer.
