Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems. As a Social Media Senior Associate at PwC you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to enhance the firm's online presence and engagement.

This role involves coordinating with various teams to create compelling content, managing social media accounts, monitoring analytics, and staying updated on industry trends.

The Senior Associate will also be tasked with identifying opportunities to optimise performance and drive brand awareness across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with defined goals. This role is specific to supporting the social media accounts for PwC’s Acceleration Centre Kuala Lumpur (ACKL) a cross-functional operation with capabilities across Advisory, Assurance, Tax and Business Services that primarily supports the needs of PwC clients in the US.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively to develop effective social media messaging and communication plans.

  • Act as editorial lead and project manager for ACKL’s social media communications. Activities include define and manage timelines including review and approval schedules, ideate, implement and execute effective social media campaigns through both organic and paid channels and act as the lead content aggregator (deferring to others where appropriate to help draft), work with the team on design layout, steward the review and approval process, and act as a liaison with all relevant stakeholders.

  • Work with PwC subject matter experts to ensure that deliverables are current, accurate and properly coordinated with other strategic initiatives

  • Process external communications deliverables through appropriate internal governance checks (Brand, Legal, Risk Management).

  • Provide ongoing creative ideas to ensure messaging is forward-looking and innovative.

  • Work on research and insights to establish baseline metrics for social media and create a monthly report to be shared with key communications stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for social media processes

  • Point person to trial new tech / keep abreast the latest social media best practices.

Job Requirements

  • With strong analytical skills (with a penchant to sniff out key guiding principles for communicating across various social media platforms).

  • With strong writing skills (with a particular focus on external channels) and experience of producing content or working with others to create content for different media types. 

  • With experience creating and executing external communications and engagement plans.

  • With a track record of producing high-quality deliverables from start to finish and willing to take end-to-end ownership (monthly social media content calendars, video scripts, communication plans, etc.) for different audiences.

  • With strong global acumen: demonstrated by a proven track record of raising and considering local, global and cross-cultural perspectives 

  • Who understands the big picture, can look beyond the immediate task and make appropriate connections to other current and/or previous communications.

  • Who is detail-oriented, especially regarding validating accuracy of content/information and when undertaking proofreading.

  • Who is a self-starter and can plan work as needed to deliver agreed work assignments on time.

  • With strong project management skills and is able to work effectively to deliver quality products to agreed timescales.

  • With strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, able to work closely and effectively with global internal stakeholders. 

  • Proactive and comfortable working with ambiguity, resilient and able to ‘fail fast’ to keep driving towards pursuit of a better-quality product or outcome.

  • Able to handle confidential information with sensitivity, integrity and good judgement.

  • With strong digital capabilities and an understanding of internal and external communication systems/platforms and can utilise these effectively to reach target audiences.
