• Maintain legal frameworks, governance structures, policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), contract management systems, and compliance processes across the organisation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor on legal, regulatory, contractual, compliance, governance, and strategic matters for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and technology-related agreements.
• Lead / Manage legal risk management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and company secretarial services.
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
• Conduct legal research, monitor regulatory developments, and provide guidance on legal and compliance implications affecting business operations.
• Manage contract lifecycle processes, legal documentation, contract repositories, records management systems, and documentation governance frameworks.
• Liaise and coordinate with external legal counsel, regulators, clients, vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders on legal, compliance, dispute resolution, and transactional matters.
• Design and deliver legal and compliance training programmes across business and technical teams.
• Provide effective and commercially sound legal support for the organisation.
• Supervise legal personnel and support cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Law or similar qualifications.
• At least 4-6years experience as in-house counsel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in legal drafting, contract review, and compliance matters.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Sound commercial awareness and ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and contract management capabilities.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management principles.
• Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management, business teams, regulators, clients, and external counsel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to balance legal risk against commercial objectives.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities, including the ability to supervise and develop team members.

Advantage:

• Familiarity with technology, SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, data protection, and IT-related contractual arrangements.
