As a Finance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day finance function of a growing business — from accounting entries, invoices, payments, claims, reconciliations, and financial reporting to basic payroll support. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, responsible, and eager to learn how accurate financial records, strong controls, and timely reporting help a business make better decisions.

Your Responsibilities will be:

1. Assist with daily accounting and finance operations, including data entry, invoice recording, payment updates, receipts, and expense claims. 
2. Support account reconciliation and document checking to ensure finance records are accurate, complete, and properly supported. 
3. Assist in preparing finance reports, schedules, trackers, and management summaries for cash flow, expenses, revenue, and other business updates. 
4. Maintain organised finance documents and filing records, including invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, claims, contracts, audit and tax supporting documents. 
5. Provide basic payroll support by helping compile attendance, leave, claims, allowance, and other payroll-related information when required.

Job Requirements

We are seeking an individual who:

• Is currently enrolled in a Diploma or Degree program in:
• Accounting
• Finance
• Business Administration
• Economics
• Management
• Or any related discipline
  
• Is passionate about both numbers - No need for extensive knowledge at this stage, but a genuine curiosity about how finance contribute to business development is essential.
  
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and organisation - Capable of managing documents, numbers, records and deadlines meticulously.
  
• Is proficient with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets - Basic familiarity with spreadsheets is advantageous and a willingness to learn about formulas, trackers and basic reporting tools is a bonus.
  
• Exhibits effective communication skills - Can engage respectfully and professionally with colleagues, candidates, vendors and team members.
  
• Is reliable and trustworthy - Able to manage sensitive finance and payroll information with discretion and professionalism.
  
• Is proactive and eager to learn - We appreciate interns who ask questions, take initiative and are receptive to feedback.
  
• Can work both independently and within a team - Should be comfortable taking responsibility for assigned tasks while also collaborating with others.
  
• Maintains a positive work attitude - Someone who is dependable, humble, enthusiastic and ready to develop.
