Job Description

Job Brief: As a Senior Manager in Projects & Operations, your role entails cultivating and maintaining robust relationships with our pivotal clients across merchandising, FMCG in-store, events & activation, and warehouse & F&B recruitment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and grow key accounts — build and maintain relationships with principals and clients across all four lines, understanding their evolving needs and adapting delivery accordingly.
  • Close the hiring gap for warehouse & F&B projects — work closely with the recruitment team to identify unfulfilled roles and accelerate talent acquisition and onboarding of ground workers.
  • Expand reach into new/outstation regions — grow active project and workforce coverage beyond current urban centres across merchandising, FMCG in-store and warehouse/F&B lines.
  • Understand market insights and propose an activation plan — conduct market surveys, track user behaviour, competitor landscape and category trends, and turn findings into account-growth or activation recommendations.
  • Identify gaps and propose solutions — proactively pinpoint operational, process, or resourcing shortcomings across the four lines and present actionable, data-backed recommendations.
  • Reporting and post-mortem — deliver regular performance and account reports, evaluate campaign/project/event outcomes, and derive learnings to continuously improve operational effectiveness.
  • Manage the team as manager-of-record — directly lead the operations team, with coaching and capability-building matched to each individual's level.
  • Lead ground execution — act as on-site lead for activations, roving campaigns and warehouse/recruitment drives, stepping into hands-on operational work when needed.
  • Facilitate change requests — ensure clients and internal teams are informed of schedule and budget impacts whenever project scope changes.

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in key account, project, or operations management within FMCG, retail, or events, or relevant field.
  • Proven event management experience — concerts, roving activations, or comparable large-scale, live execution.
  • Strong market research, data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to turn findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience managing a multi-level team, with resource, budget and vendor management exposure; warehouse or manpower/recruitment experience an advantage.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (added advantage) to communicate with partners and customers.
  • Must be willing to travel and possess own transport for work-related activities. Occasionally on-site during weekends.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and prioritize workload, as well as capacity for teamwork in a pressured, fast-moving environment with multiple projects running concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent presentation skills.
  • Solution-focused, positive mindset, results-oriented, creative, fast learner, and team player.
  • Resourceful with a high level of initiative.
