Job Description

Your primary responsibilities will be:

• Design & development of Backend APIs in Javascript, Typescript, and PostgreSQL
• Development & integration with authentication, authorization, content management systems, and other internal and third party APIs.
• Maintain design & API documentations (TypeSpec & OpenAPI specifications)
• Contribute to development of platform architecture e.g.:
• System architecture & infrastructure
• Containerization
• CI/CD workflows (e.g. Github Actions)
• Collaborate with Development & Product team to deliver robust & user-friendly web applications and backend infrastructure
• Uphold best practices in development including:
• Testing and quality assurance 
• Release management
• Peer reviews of code and solution design
• Documentation of internal design systems
• Hybrid work - work in office at least 3 days/week i.e. Tuesday, Wednesay, Thursday

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of backend development, preferably building APIs for web applications. 
• Exposure to OpenAPI v3, TypeSpec is preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience in JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, PostgreSQL. 
• Exposure to expressjs or koajs framework is preferred.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. GitHub/GitLab). 
• Experience with package managers & build tools (e.g. npm, yarn, shell scripting).
• Knowledge or exposure to the following technologies are plus points:
• Observability & Monitoring (e.g. OpenTelemetry)
• Containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Cloud services (e.g. AWS, GCP, Vercel)
• Unit/Integration Test Frameworks (e.g. Jest)
• Ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English is crucial.
