Unseen Matters is a story-first sustainable gifting studio based in Kuala Lumpur that partners with corporations to create concept-driven, sustainable gifts and branded merchandise using materials like coffee leather, recycled ocean plastic, mycelium, cork, and reclaimed wood. Over seven years the studio has completed 500+ projects for 400+ corporate clients across 18 countries, including Google, Meta, Petronas, Clarins, Cartier, Mercedes-Benz, Dell, and Siemens — across luxury brand campaigns, ASEAN summits, and large-scale association congresses.

We are looking for an intern to work alongside the founder and the team across operations, admin, marketing, and client work. You will handle real paperwork that goes to real brands, help chase real payments, research real clients, and see how every part of a business connects. This is a wide-exposure role — not a single-department internship. If you want to understand how a founder-led company actually runs, this is the seat.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Admin

• Handle day-to-day paperwork — quotations, invoices, purchase orders, and documentation
• Track payments, send reminders to clients, and keep financial records up to date
• Manage vendor and supplier coordination — registration, paperwork, timelines, and follow-ups
• Keep the office running smoothly — supplies, filing, scheduling, and general workspace coordination

Marketing & Outreach Support

• Research potential clients and prepare background briefs before meetings or outreach
• Help with client outreach — drafting emails, replying to enquiries, and following up on leads
• Support the marketing team with content scheduling, case studies, or campaign materials as needed

Design & Creative Support

• Assist with basic design work using Canva — social media graphics, presentation slides, and client-facing documents

Founder Support

• Help the founder with meeting prep, research, correspondence, and ad-hoc tasks

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Fit

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in business administration, management, finance, marketing, or a related field
• Organised and detail-oriented — notices when a number doesn't add up or a document has a typo
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace — especially Excel/Sheets and Docs; Canva is a plus
• Can write clear, professional emails and messages
• Comfortable reaching out to people by email, phone, or message; willing to do a range of tasks and proactive in taking initiative
