Most content creator job ads say the same thing.
“Passionate about social media.” “Loves creating content.” “Fast-paced environment.”
Then you join and realise the role is just churning out posts with no creative direction, no proper equipment, and no team to grow with.
Here’s what makes this different.
Zapeus is a performance marketing agency running campaigns for clients across 50+ industries in 8 countries. Content is the engine behind everything we do, and we’re expanding our content team to keep up with demand.
You’ll join an existing team of creators and work alongside a Creative Content Manager who sets the creative direction. You won’t be figuring things out alone.
Your core skill is video. You’ll plan, shoot, and edit short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) for our clients. This is where you’ll spend most of your time, and this is the skillset we’re hiring for.
Beyond video, you’ll also conceptualise content across other formats: graphics, GIFs, carousels, and other visual assets. You won’t need graphic design or motion design skills for these. Our design team handles the execution. Your job is to bring the ideas and creative direction.
Day to day, that includes:
⚡ Planning, shooting, and editing short-form videos from concept to final cut
⚡ Conceptualising content ideas across formats (video, graphics, GIFs, carousels) and briefing the design team on non-video assets
⚡ Staying current with social media trends, hooks, transitions, and storytelling techniques, and applying them to client content
⚡ Collaborating with the performance marketing team to ensure content aligns with campaign strategy
⚡ Attending client shoots and contributing to on-set creative direction when needed
⚡ Analysing content performance using platform analytics and refining your creative approach based on what works
⚡ Ensuring all content meets production standards, follows brand guidelines, and is optimised for each platform
To be clear: we’re not expecting you to be a videographer, graphic designer, motion designer, and copywriter all in one.
Your primary skill is shooting and editing video. For everything else, you’re the creative brain. The design team brings it to life.
🔸 1–2 years of experience in content creation, social media, or a related creative role
🔸 A strong short-form video portfolio. This is a must, and it’s the first thing we’ll look at
🔸 Proficiency in CapCut is required. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar is a bonus
🔸 Understanding of video production fundamentals: lighting, sound, and shooting basics
🔸 Strong creative instincts. You can come up with original ideas and know what makes people stop scrolling
🔸 Able to conceptualise content across different formats and clearly brief a design team (you don’t need to design it yourself)
🔸 Keen awareness of social media trends and platform best practices
🔸 Fluent in English. Mandarin is a plus
🔸 Detail-oriented with solid time management. You’ll be juggling multiple clients and deadlines
You might be:
💪 A junior creator who’s been doing this for a year or two and wants to level up with proper mentorship and a real team around you
🧠Someone currently in-house or at another agency who wants more creative variety and exposure to different industries
💡 A creative who’s tired of working in a silo and wants to collaborate with people who actually care about the craft
You’re naturally curious about what’s trending. You watch content with a creator’s eye, noticing the hook, the pacing, the edit. You don’t need to be told what’s working on TikTok right now because you already know.
You’ll have proper equipment. Cameras, mics, lighting. Everything you need to produce quality work. No “just use your phone” compromises.
You’ll have creative freedom. We encourage experimentation. Try new formats, test new hooks, push ideas. If it doesn’t work, we learn. If it does, we scale it.
You’ll have variety. Working across 50+ industries means you’ll never get bored creating the same type of content.
You’ll have a team. You’re not the lone content person. You’ll work with other creators, a Creative Content Manager, designers, and performance marketers who all contribute to the final output.
You’ll have room to grow. People who start here don’t stay in the same seat. If you put in the work, the opportunities open up.
🚫 You’re looking for a role where you just follow a brief and press record. This isn’t that.
We need someone who thinks creatively, takes initiative on ideas, and cares about the quality of what they put out. Clients have different needs, timelines shift, and you’ll need to adapt.
If you want to grow as a creator and be part of a team that takes content seriously, this will stretch you in the right ways.
🚫 If you’re looking for a slow-paced, predictable role, this probably isn’t the right fit.
