About the role

Zone Designworks (Penang branch) is seeking skilled Intermediate and Senior Project Architects to be part of our new office in Penang. As a full-time Project Architect, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of architectural projects, collaborating closely with our clients and multidisciplinary design teams.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the design and development of architectural projects from concept to completion
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Coordinate with the client, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution
• Manage project budgets and timelines to deliver projects within established constraints
• Conduct site visits and oversee construction activities to ensure quality and compliance
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and designers
• Contribute to the growth and development of the design team and the practice

What we're looking for:

• 4-7+ years of experience as a Project Architect, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. You will need to have experience in high-rise and mixed development projects.
• Proficient in using architectural design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit
• Strong technical knowledge of building by-laws, building materials, construction methods, and local building codes
• Based/Living in Penang and may be required to visit our HQ n Kuala Lumpur from time to time.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and project teams
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to deliver innovative design solutions
• A degree in Architecture or a related field and a valid professional license or registration
• Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
