Job Description

We are looking for a creative and responsible Interior Designer to join our team and work on a variety of interior design, retail fit-out and event projects.

The successful candidate will be involved throughout the design process, from concept development and space planning to technical drawings, material selection and site coordination.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure that design requirements are properly coordinated and implemented on site.

The role includes hands-on involvement in:

• Site measurement and space planning
• Concept development and design proposals
• Technical and detailed drawings
• Lighting and electrical point coordination
• Material, colour and finishing selection
• Site inspection and project coordination
• Design amendments based on site conditions
• Project handover

Candidates should be able to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively with different project stakeholders and provide practical design solutions according to project requirements, timelines and site conditions.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Design & Concept

• Sketch concepts, mood boards and space plans that balance function and aesthetics.
• Produce detailed layouts and 3D visuals using AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar tools.

Production & Execution

• Prepare technical drawings and material specifications for contractors and suppliers.
• Support site visits and supervise small fitouts to ensure design intent is executed.

Client & Collaboration

• Present design proposals and revise plans based on client feedback.
• Source furniture and finishes, liaising with vendors to meet budget and timeline.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field, or equivalent portfolio.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience are welcome.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp, basic 3D rendering and Photoshop skills.
• Understanding of materials, finishes and basic construction drawings.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Good communication and presentation skills when dealing with clients and vendors.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and a collaborative attitude.
