<ins>Job Summary</ins>
Designer cum Merchandiser is responsible for creating appealing jewellery and product designs, as well as managing the product line to ensure alignment with the brand, market trends and customer preferences. The role also involves in selecting and purchasing a range of jewelleries and products that meet market demands and align with the company’s brand image. Assist with ad-hocs when needed in all aspect of the team’s need and not limited to marketing, retail, operation and etc.

<ins>Key Responsibilities</ins>

Design and Development
<ul>
<li>Design jewelleries and products that aligns with the brand’s identity and market trends.</li>
<li>Develop sketches and drawings of jewellery pieces and products using both traditional methods and computer-aided design software.</li>
<li>Select appropriate materials and production techniques to achieve desired quality and cost objectives.</li>
<li>Research and stay updated on emerging trends, customer preferences, competitor activities and industry developments to inspire new designs.</li>
<li>Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, making adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and alignment with design specifications.</li>
<li>Ensure all designs adhere to quality standards and are produced within budget and time constraints.</li>
</ul>

Merchandising &amp; Buying
<ul>
<li>Source, select and purchase jewelleries or products that align with the company's brand image and target customer.</li>
<li>Analyse sales performance, market trends, and consumer preferences to make data-driven buying decisions.</li>
<li>Prepare and follow up with PO, invoices, payments with internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Develop and manage product lines, ensuring a balanced assortment that meets sales and profitability targets.</li>
<li>Analyse sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions on product buys, assortments and inventory levels.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the sales teams to manage inventory levels, ensuring an optimal balance between supply and demand.</li>
</ul>

Supplier Management
<ul>
<li>Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and manage the production process.</li>
<li>Build, manage and strengthen relationships with suppliers and agents, while abiding by company’s policies and guidelines.</li>
<li>Negotiate with new and existing quality suppliers to achieve best quality, pricing, profit margin, minimum order quantity, payment terms, trading terms and lead times.</li>
<li>Ensure timely delivery by monitoring shipment and delivery schedule</li>
<li>Source for new suppliers to meet company’s standard of qualities and profitability.</li>
</ul>
