Established in October 2017, Cengild G.I Medical Centre (CGI) is a dedicated healthcare provider specialized in the diagnosis and treatment for gastrointestinal and liver disease. Located at the heart of rapidly developing landscape of Bangsar South, CGI is very strategic with choices of public transport and accommodation for patients to reach us. With few hotels and apartments, LRT and also shopping malls around the medical centre, patients not only can come here to seek treatment, but also for leisure as well.

1.   <ins>DAYCARE (5)</ins>

<li>Operate day care unit ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in daily operational activities.</li>
<li>Plan and provide patient care starting from admission of patient, carry on investigation and treatment as ordered by doctor until discharge of patient</li>
<li>Perform assessment, identify patients’ problems, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.</li>
<li>Prepare patients undergoing day-care procedure - proper attire prior to procedure, consent, IV-line insertion, blood taking, pre-procedure vital sign and history taking, administer pre-procedure medication (if required).</li>

2.   <ins>ONCOLOGY DAYCARE (1)</ins>
<ul>
<li>Provide care for patients on chemotherapy.</li>
<li>Administer chemotherapy drug and troubleshooting common access problems.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Educate patients and the families regarding treatment expectations.</li>
<li>Monitor and record the patient’s progress on a constant basis during chemotherapy.</li>
<li>Document the patient’s response to treatment and medication.</li>
<li>Manage side effects and support patients emotionally throughout the chemotherapy.</li>
<li>Work together with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure</li>

3.   <ins>ENDOSCOPY (1)</ins>
<ul>
<li>Prepare patients undergo endoscopy procedure (proper attire prior to procedure, consent, IV-line insertion, blood taking, pre procedure vital sign and history taking, administer pre procedure medication if required).</li>
<li>Responsible for tissue biopsy and laboratory documentation</li>
<li>Ensure vital sign observation and patient monitoring pre, during and post procedure – care of patient under sedation.</li>

<li>Management of department to ensure efficient and effective daily</li>
</ul>
        operational activities.

<li>Planning and managing of patient care in the department to fulfil and exceed customer satisfaction.</li>
<li>Providing safe, effective, and quality nursing services to customers to ensure best clinical outcomes.</li>
<li>Provide supervision and guidance towards junior nurses / carer to ensure continuity and high standard of nursing care is always provided.</li>

<li>Plans and executes nursing care for the patients with team members according to individual patient’s needs and promote safe and evidence-based practice in accordance to nursing SOP.</li>
<li>Assisting doctor in procedures in the HDU</li>
<li>Responsible for patient wellbeing by providing hourly monitoring in the HDU</li>
<li>Ensure vital sign observation and patient monitoring are done as accordance to the SOP</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information</li>
<li>Care of patients post-surgical / procedure that requires close monitoring in the HDU</li>
<li>Maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy and always ensuring a friendly environment.</li>
<li>Maintaining timely and accurate nursing records.</li>
<li>Carries out specialist’s order in accordance to established standards of nursing practices, policies and procedures</li>
<li>Storing, checking, and administering drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines.</li>
