PROJECT ENGINEER (M&E)

Accountabilities:

• Preparation of technical documentation for issue and analysis of tenders.
• Assisting projects with value engineering during construction stage.
• To ensure that M&E contracts are completed within contract period.
• To coordinate the entire M&E works on the project in such a manner to facilitate information & instruction dissemination for efficient on time operation.
• To manage NSC’s (if any) and their scope of work and monitor, implement NSC’s works in tandem with other trade works.
• To prepare the overall construction program for M&E and NSC’s works and monitor work in progress with respect to structural/ architectural and external works.
• To administrator the M&E contract: -

1. Preliminaries
2. Shop drawings
3. Specification
4. Progress claim
5. Variation works
6. Final account / as built drawings

• To provide information and liaise with site agent with regards to overall construction requirements for M&E works in related to other trade works and / or vice versa.
• To assist in the preparation of quantity estimation/ BQ/ Costing.

Qualification

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or higher in related filed.
• Registered with Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM).
• Professional Engineer will be an added advantage.
• Possess minimum 1-2 years working experience in the construction field.
• Possess valid CIDB green card.

Knowledge

• Good knowledge of construction standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge on the technical aspect of construction works.
• Proficient in Microsoft office.
• Knowledge on AutoCAD.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently, maintain a positive attitude under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
• Good communication & written skill in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willing to meet tight deadline and result oriented.
