Job Description

This position will based at our laboratory, Herbal Food Assay Services Sdn Bhd.

a) To report to Quality System Manager or Laboratory Manager on matters related with

 microbiology and critical utilities trending.

b) Perform microbiological testing for identified in-coming sample according to Standard

 Operating Procedure (SOP) of sampling plan and test method

c) To complete Microbial Contamination Test Report, Environmental Monitoring Report and

 others according to microbiological testing and provide compliance status based on

 microbiological test specifications

d) Establish Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Specifications for microbiological test

 method related to microbiological testing.

e) Perform sampling and testing for environmental monitoring related to cleanliness and

 hygiene of personnel and microbiology laboratory.

f) To provide trending report as and when needed

g) Perform Growth Promotion Test for all in-coming medias for microbiological testing

 according to SOP

h) Develop and validate microbial contamination test, probiotic test methods and environmental

 techniques

i) Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of microbiology laboratory through appropriate practices

 for cleaning, waste disposal and decontamination. Ensure Good Laboratory Practices is

 complies all the time

j) Training on new microbiology personnel in Good Laboratory Practices, Good Aseptic

 Technique, Sampling Test Method to carry out evaluation and competency program for new

 microb personnel

k) To participate in internal audit, regulatory audit, supplier or customer audit regarding

 microbiological issues as and when needed

l) Perform internal calibration (verification) for apparatus (micro-pipette) and equipment

 (weighing balance, incubator, etc ) used in microbiology laboratory

Job Requirements

a) Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or Biology 

b) Possess at least 1 – 2 years working experience in the related field. Fresh Graduate encourage to apply.

c) Knowledge in ISO 17025 and lab safety will be an added advantage.

d) Familiar with laboratory environment, procedures and practices related to microbiology

 analysis.

e) Experience in method development and validation related to microbiology analysis.

f) Dynamic, self motivated, Good team Player and a fast leaner

g) Possess analytical skills with a strong problem solving attitude.

h) Proactive and versatile with strong initiative as well as the ability to work independently

i) Required languages : English & Bahasa Malaysia & Chinese
